Website Manager - Seasonal

Job Description:

The Dallas Mavericks is seeking a highly motivated Web Manager/Designer to join our team’s Marketing department. In this role, they will be responsible for creating visually appealing and user-friendly landing pages that align with our brand identity and enhance the overall user experience. They will collaborate with various departments to bring creative concepts to life and ensure the seamless integration of design elements into our online platforms.

Essential Job Function:

• Design and develop visually engaging and responsive landing pages that meet the Dallas Maverick's brand standards.
• Regularly update, upload, and manage website content, including text, images, and multimedia elements, while ensuring accuracy and relevance.
• Monitor and maintain the overall health and functionality of the Dallas Maverick's websites.
• Conduct regular audits to identify and address technical issues, broken links, and outdated plugins.
• Respond to user inquiries and troubleshoot any technical issues related to the website.
• Implement best practices in UX design to enhance the overall usability and accessibility of our websites.
• Analyze website performance metrics to understand target audience preferences and provide recommendations for optimization.
• Implement and maintain SEO best practices to improve website visibility and search engine rankings.
• Manipulate high-quality graphics, icons, and other visual elements to enhance the overall aesthetics of our web presence.
• Ensure consistency in design elements across various digital platforms.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, design tools, and emerging technologies to continuously improve design processes and outcomes.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Web Development, Computer Science, Web Design, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in website design/management.
• Strong understanding of web technologies, content management systems, and SEO principles.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress).
• Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
• Proficient in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
• Strong understanding of UX design principles and best practices.
• Creative and detail-oriented with a strong portfolio showcasing previous web design projects.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
