Modern Tribe is looking for a talented, detail-oriented Designer to join our team. Our projects involve creating large-scale digital products and design systems for high-profile clients across multiple industries — higher education, sports, food and beverage, and more. We’re looking for experienced designers, comfortable working at any point in the design process. Our designers love to ideate in low and high fidelity. Whether we’re designing applications, new products, or websites, our designers are focused on empowering users and achieving results.
The Designer’s primary purpose is to fuel and drive creativity within the execution of a project. You will translate business needs and requirements into solutions by leveraging the creative process and the full capabilities of your team.
This is a permanent part-time or contract position (up to 20 hours per week) with a pay rate of $50 - $60 per hour. We are excited to consider applications from all locations with the understanding that the person would need to be able to work Monday - Friday eastern time zone for a portion of each day.
Responsibilities:
- Designs both concepts and final layouts of web pages with focus on user experience
- Develops responsive web content that are optimized for best user experience and SEO
- Bring fresh ideas and creative communications to support the brand strategy, and desired brand image and perceptions
- Uses a strong knowledge of WordPress to Update content and graphics on website
- Helps monitoring performance and results; identifying and evaluating improvement options
Designs digital media assets for web, social, banners, and other marketing materials - Collaborates with various teams , and outside entities to complete tasks
- Designs high converting landing pages (both copy and design) for digital marketing campaigns
- Creates and maintain team style guides
- Designs and implements A/B tests and monitors heat mapping tools
- Collects feedback from key stakeholders and implements changes
- Performs QA on html projects including email and web pages
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or commensurate experience
- 5+ years proven work experience as a web designer
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
- Strong knowledge of WordPress
- 3+ years experience with HTML and CSS
- Expert-level knowledge design software, such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc
- Familiarity with web performance and analytics tools
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
- Up-to-date with the latest web trends, techniques and technologies
- General marketing experience
- Expert-level knowledge design software, such as Adobe Photoshop, etc
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects from concept to completion within time frames
- Excellent written communication skills
- The ability to move quickly and respond to on-demand projects
