IT Web Developer

Under the supervision of the IT Manager, this position will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving the eCommerce website, as well as maintaining security and feature updates. This person will work closely with the IT and Business Operations/Marketing team to improve the success of the eCommerce website.

Responsibilities include:

• PHP based eCommerce systems Experience writing PHP (including associated frameworks)
• Write code and tests, build prototypes, resolve issues, and profile and analyze bottlenecks.
• Design robust APIs to support mobile and desktop clients.
• Manage and optimize scalable distributed systems in the cloud.
• Optimize web applications for performance and scalability.
• Develop automated tests to ensure business needs are met and allow for regression testing.
• Troubleshoot issues.
• Experience with JSON, XML, AJAX, and jQuery
• Magento 2 Required - Must be skilled in back end.
• Develop Magento modules in PHP using best practices.
• Update website features and security patches.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of developing eCommerce websites.
• 5+ years of experience in Magento. Magento certification is a plus.
• Strong skills with PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL.
• Proficiency with relational database systems, object-oriented programming and web application development.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize web pages for security and responsiveness.
• Knowledge of REST API development, deployment, and security.
• Solid knowledge of modern UI/UX trends.
• Experience in writing highly secure web applications.
• Experience with core AWS web-enabling technologies.

• Effective problem solving, resolution skills, and ability to exercise good judgement.

Hours of Work:

• Full-time employment offering a competitive wage and full benefits package.
• Work hours can be flexible beyond core hours; Core business hours Mon-Fri; 8am - 5pm CST.

• Some travel may be required for occasional meetings.
• Position is based from the nearest Armor Animal Health locations (MN, ND, NY, SD, or WI)
• Remote work available
