Job Summary:
The Web Content and Strategy Manager oversees the planning, development and management of website content to support the strategic goals of the university, including those related to undergraduate and graduate enrollment, university advancement, and community outreach. This position ensures accessibility, usability, and functionality of the website by target audiences.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Required Skills/Abilities:
Expertise in website management, web usability principles and practices, accessibility guidelines, SEO standards and strategies, data analytics, and digital marketing principles and practices.Working knowledge of Web Content management systems.Strong marketing writing and editing skills; ability to adhere to consistent style, editorial and content guidelines.Ability to interact effectively with Marketing and Communications team members, EMU IT, internal clients including senior management, as well as web vendors and freelancers.Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.Ability to interpret and analyze information in Google Analytics for effective decision-making.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HTML and CSS.Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer/management information systems, digital media, journalism, marketing, communications, or related field, and a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in Web Content strategy and management. Client relations skills required.
Experience in a higher education or marketing/communications environment preferred.
