Web Content Administrator

POSITION SUMMARY:

At Kingston Technology, we are committed to providing our customers with the best possible online experience. Our web team seeks an eager, curious, and experienced Web Content Administrator, skilled in publishing, reviewing, and updating content specific to our website. The ideal candidate will have project management experience and be capable of updating our website content using a Content Management System (CMS). The candidate needs to be familiar with the use of CMS software to update and add new content to our website. Perform related duties as assigned. Salary $70k-$80k

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Works with the Web Team and interfaces with Project Managers and Graphic designers to ensure all content is presented accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborates with design, SEO, and development team members to produce comprehensive project plans that align with company vision.
• Updates and maintains website content that includes blogs, articles, press releases, as well as product and company related information (no social media) in multiple languages by using a Content Management System (CMS).
• Gathers an inventory of Web Content, including text, images, PDFs and video files and publishing to the website using templates within the CMS.
• Works on multiple projects at once with varying priorities and deadlines.
• Installs new content and edits existing HTML within CMS platform.
• Builds and leverages templates to quickly create new pages.

GUIDELINES (ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS):

• Ability to manage website content using a Content Management System (CMS)
• Understand and apply basic SEO principles to Web Content
• Experience and/or knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint
• Extensive knowledge of website design and analytics
• Strong SEO practices and standards, with emphasis on supporting multiple languages and geolocated content
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Extreme attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skill and multitasking ability
• Project and Time management
• Strong understanding of basic HTML (no programming involved) and CSS
• Able to work alone and as part of a team to meet strict deadlines

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field preferred
• At least 2 years of experience with WordPress or CMS based content management with basic knowledge of HTML required to make changes and update web pages
