Blogger And Web Content Writer

A creative writer with public relations experience is needed for an aesthetic medical practice, its affiliated medical products - device company, and all its web platforms.

South Bay Beach City office location (Manhattan Beach). Candidate must be good at crafting crisp easy-to-digest and engaging medical-themed articles/messaging on the fly. Should be very experienced with current SEO and SEM best practices. Content Writer's responsibilities include conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types, and proofreading articles before publication. If you’re familiar with producing online content and have an eye for detail, we’d like to meet you.

Part of your PR responsibilities would include pitching stories to reporters in the interest of our brand.

Feel free to share samples of your work or portfolio of your published articles, along with your application. Ultimately, you’ll deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences, attract customers and boost brand awareness.

Must be skilled in search engine performance auditing and analysis and the ability to leverage data in influencing future SEO and SEM strategies. Should have expert-level skills in creating and editing graphics with Photoshop, adobe pro, and video editing software. Experience in podcasting is an advantage.

The ideal candidate is a team player with proven leadership skills, multi-tasking, working in a rapid work pace environment, and being a team player. Expert-level knowledge of WordPress is required. Must have expertise in building social media following and influences. Would be writing multiple copies per weekday.

Responsibilities

• Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews, and studies)

• Write clear marketing copy to promote our products/services

• Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems

• Proofread and edit blog posts before publication

• Submit work to editors for input and approval

• Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles

• Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic

• Promote content on social media

• Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics

• Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone)

• Pitch stories to reporters and secure newsworthy exposure for the brand

• Update website content as needed

Skills

• Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter, Publicist, or similar role

• Portfolio of published articles

• Graphics (Photoshop adobe illustrator etc)

• Experience doing research using multiple sources

• Familiarity with web publications

• Excellent writing and editing skills in English

• Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)

• Ability to meet deadlines

• BSc in Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, English, Journalism, or related field

Must be physically located in the greater Los Angeles area or Long Beach area to qualify.

This is not a telecommuting job. Physical presence on the office premises would be required at all times.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
