R&P is seeking a waterfront Ship Production Engineer to support the U.S. Navy’s FFG(X) Frigate Shipbuilding Program Office (PMS 515) and, specifically, to the PMS 515 Production team including SUPSHIP Bath. PMS 515 is responsible for the design, production, test and delivery of the U.S. Navy’s next generation Frigate, currently designated FFG(X). The work will be performed on-site at Fincantieri Marinette Marine, Marinette, WI and at other Government facilities onsite.
- Provide waterfront support for ship construction and production efforts such as assisting Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SUPSHIP), audits, ship quality assurance testing, and production readiness.
- Provide support during production planning/design, construction, alteration, HM&E testing and sea trials.
- Review build specifications and ship design for production impact.
- Participate in Production Readiness Reviews, Design Reviews, and other required program reviews.
- BS in an engineering discipline with 20+ years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to work in a shipyard environment.
- Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
