Arctic Compressor has an immediate opening for a Current Product Engineer to join our team!

Arctic Compressor is a rapidly growing, family-owned manufacturing business located in Superior, Wisconsin that distributes its products exclusively through a nationwide dealer network.
Summary:
The Current Product Engineer position is responsible for all aspects of the engineering and support of components, products, and systems for high-pressure breathing air compressors, containment fill stations, and related equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to perform these duties in accordance with timelines, quality parameters, manufacturing capabilities, customer requirements, and market needs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate in a collaborative team environment providing input to design improvements and cost reduction initiatives through design reviews.
- Follow standard operating procedures, engineering best practices and comply with relevant industry standards.
- Lead Current Product Engineering support.
- Create 3D CAD models, print packages, and technical documentation.
- Create and revise Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure build and cost accuracy.
- Perform accurate calculations and analysis to support your thinking.
- Perform root cause analysis investigations and clearly document your findings in reports.
- Participate in the assembly and testing of improved and prototype designs.
- Collaborate with the Production team to incorporate Design for Manufacturability (DFM) practices to ensure cost-effectiveness and ease of assembly.
- Communicate engineering changes with other departments and outside vendors.
- Support resolution of customer, manufacturing, quality, and technical issues in collaboration with other departments when required.
Requirements & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years in a similar role preferred. An equivalent combination of work experience, training, and/or education may be considered.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline preferred.
- Skills: Self-starter with the ability to work hands-on using simple hand tools and power tools when required. Familiarity with fabrication, machining, and welding is a plus but not required.
- Technology: Working knowledge of SOLIDWORKS or similar CAD systems, PDM systems, ERP/MRP software, and MS Office.

- Working Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM-12:00 PM
- Work Environment: This position primarily operates in a professional office environment using standard office equipment and also in a manufacturing environment that requires the employee to follow safety protocols.
- Travel: This position may require occasional travel including travel outside the local area and overnight.
