As our Water andSewer Systems Assistant Maintenance Technician, every day unfolds like a gripping saga. You start your day with a stroll through the water plant grounds, where you're not just maintaining systems; you're ensuring the pulse of our community stays strong.
Suddenly, a call-an emergency at a booster station! You spring into action, adjusting pressure-reducing valves with the precision of a maestro. Next, you're knee-deep in wastewater treatment facility installations, monitoring lagoons to guarantee top-tier treatment. Your day is a dynamic blend of expertise and adrenaline.
Later, you transition to maintaining facilities and grounds, where your skills span painting, plumbing, welding, and weed control. As the sun sets, cap off your day performing routine maintenance on department vehicles, ensuring they're ready for the next day's adventures.
HOW TO QUALIFY:
- 1+ years of experience in Water and Sewer system maintenance or related duties
- Basic knowledge of maintenance materials and tools
- Apprentice-level skill in basic automotive repair
- Ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and lift 50 lbs
- Valid Utah driver's license
