About the role:

As an integral part of the Dispersion Department, the Waste Water Processor will utilize advanced process, product, part number, and business directives knowledge to ensure the efficient and effective execution of Wash Room activities. The Waste Water Processor will hold responsibility for the accurate operation of waste-processing equipment, including the cleaning of dispersion drums and the treatment area, while ensuring environmental compliance of waste treatment processes. The Waste Water Processor will need to be flexible and adaptable to work in changing environments. This individual will be cross-trained and able to assist in multiple areas of production, as directed by management.

What you will be doing:

• Effectively operate wastewater treatment equipment to ensure proper, safe processing of wastewater.
• Accurately perform required tests to ensure water is ready for safe discharge into sewer.
• Accurately add proper chemical additives to process tanks to ensure settling of solids and colorants from water.
• Efficiently fill, store, and prepare waste drums for disposal.
• Efficiently and timely clean all drums from production.
• Accurately inspect all drums for contamination prior to releasing them to Dispersion Personnel.
• Consistently maintain adequate supply of clean drums for Dispersion Personnel.
• Effectively provide general direction to Dispersion Assistants and support staff in achieving best possible results.
• Consistently maintain a clean, efficient, and organized work area to minimize contamination and exposure and ensure smooth workflow.
• Contribute to a team environment by cross-training on production equipment and processes.
• Perform highly repetitive and prescribed job duties involving machine operation, pouring and mixing of raw materials, and manual packing of product.
• Detect and segregate defective products.
• Create a safe workspace by maintaining cleanliness in assigned areas and following safety regulations.
• Enjoyment of wearing many hats is necessary.

What you need:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Demonstrated steady and consistent work history
• Ability to work overtime as required
• Reliability and flexibility
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and written
• Friendly, engaging, and professional demeanor
• Desire to learn, seek new challenges and to take on additional responsibilities
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
• Must be resourceful and initiative-taking
• Self-motivated, driven individual
• The determination to work harder than anyone you know
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. frequently
• Frequently performs repetitive reaching, grasping and lifting of product, materials and boxes weighing up to 60 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach above head, twist, push and pull
• Must be able to stand up to 10 hours a day
• Ability to understand basic mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to adjust focus, the ability to see variations in color, and the ability to match colors
