Warshaw Inc. is looking to hire a qualified full time Warehouse worker in Hauppauge, New York. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of warehouse experience. The warehouse worker will report directly to the warehouse manager and will need to demonstrate the ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced warehouse environment and various conditions. The warehouse worker must be able to efficiently load and unload trucks, operate motorized and electric stand up and sit down forklifts & motorized and electric ride on and walk behind pallet jacks, keep an accurate count of physical inventory on all inbound and outbound shipments including warehouse locations. The responsibility is to accurately perform these tasks in a safe manner on these machines and ensure all customer orders are picked and packed correctly and in a timely fashion.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: At Minimum Duties & Responsibilities

Warehouse worker responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Safely load and unload inbound / outbound trucks / deliveries
• Must be able to operate all loading dock platforms both electric and manual
• Safely and Accurately pick and verify customer orders in a timely fashion
• Safely and Accurately keep a detailed inventory of warehouse stock
• Accurately keep all paperwork on file for all inbound / outbound material and customer orders and deliveries
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean and clutter free work environment
• Operate all machinery safely and efficiently
• Must be able to operate stand up and sit down forklifts both motorized and electric
• Must be able to operate all ride on and walk behind motorized and electric pallet jacks
• Must be able to climb ladders
• Must be able to operate electric pallet wrap machine
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
• Report all incidents immediately to management
• Other duties assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: At Minimum Training, Education & Experience

The successful candidate must possess the following skills:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years experience in a warehouse lead role managing hourly employees
• Hands-on experience working in a warehouse environment
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy
• Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
• Ability to work with all levels of company staff

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
