JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
Warehouse Technician will be tasked with daily warehouse duties such as loading and unloading of drums, shipping and receiving documents and Transfer Storage and Disposal Facilities (TSDF) scheduling and product inventory. Techs will also assist with operations at WOES facilities as well as customer sites.
WASTE & MATERIAL HANDLING
- Operate warehouse forklift and various forklift attachments.
- Operate Battery-Powered Pallet Truck
- Drum Truck (drum dolly)
- Pallet Truck (pallet jack)
- Propane cylinder re-fills.
- Forklift daily inspection prior to use.
- Load & unload waste & material manually or with forklift.
- Provide daily assistance to Antifreeze drivers with pumping/transferring of new antifreeze from 275gl totes into tanker trucks.
- Provide daily assistance to Field Service & Container drivers with loading/off-loading of waste, equipment and supplies.
- Provide assistance to customer will call orders from dispatch.
- Pack & assemble antifreeze/coolant product for fleet use and sales order.
- Pack & assemble spill kit product for fleet use and sales order.
- Pack & assemble parts washing solvent for sales order.
- Inventory & repair parts washer pump and heater assembly
- Palletize and secure new product drums for shipment.
- Consolidate/transfer Asbury warehouse waste into Cubic Yard Boxes.
- Assist various WOES departments with support in file storage.
- Supply inventory and record keeping.
HAZ WASTE CONTAINER PREP & QUALITY CONTROL
- Q.C. HAZ WASTE drums received for leaks, dents, bulging and proper shipping labels.
- Perform over packing procedures on drums when necessary.
- Check drum labeling and shipping document information for errors.
- Clean and prepare hazardous waste drums for TSDF’s shipment.
- Follow Hazardous Material segregation chart prior to loading truck/trailer.
- TSDF shipment scheduling.
HOUSE KEEPING
- Graffiti removal.
- Spill clean-up inside trailers.
- Warehouse dock, parking lot and floor daily cleaning and sweeping.
HAZ WASTE DRUM/CONTAINER TRASFER
- Transfer hazardous waste liquid and solid waste from non UN/DOT containers into UN/DOT approved drums thru pumping, pouring, scooping and scraping
- Perform over pack procedures on leaking and damaged drums.
EMERGENCY RESPONSE CLEAN UP
- Must be available and respond to WOES emergencies.
- Assist in the clean-up of all WOES spills at customer locations

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
40- hour HAZWOPER with 8-hour annual recertification
Forklift Certified
Fall Protection Training Certified
CPR
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Relevant training certifications in industry topics.
