Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Lead to join our team. As a Warehouse Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of materials and inventory. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of warehouse operations, and a proven track record in team management.
Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and monitoring performance
- Ensure proper materials handling procedures are followed to maintain the integrity of products
- Oversee inventory control processes, including cycle counts and reconciliations
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 to track and manage inventory
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of orders
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures and safety protocols
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize warehouse operations and improve overall efficiency
- Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or warehouse operations
- Strong knowledge of 3PL (third-party logistics) processes and best practices
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop employees
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate material handling equipment safely
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), such as AS400
- Familiarity with inventory control principles and practices
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
