Job Description
Newport Springs Bottling is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to supervise the operations of our Shipping / Receiving department. The ideal candidate should be a hardworking, honest, motivated individual.
- The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for leading and coordinating activities of the employees performing the following activities: Replenishments, put-a-ways, moves and re-warehousing.
- This position works with minimal supervision so the person must be a leader with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ensure all employees on the shift are following established procedures, manage performance, and present corrective action as needed.
- Evaluate problems that arise and take appropriate action to allow employees to complete their work.
- Train employees on company policies and procedures.
- Manage the safety on the shift to ensure no accidents or injuries occur. If needed, conduct safety investigations regarding work related incidents and injuries.
- Analyze and communicate warehouse productivity and goals to employees and Management.
- Ensure housekeeping standards are met and warehouse is maintained in neat and organized manner.
- Ensure security of the facility is maintained during the shift and secure the building at end of shift.
- Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Warehouse Supervision experience: 3 years (Required)
- Experience with a WMS (warehouse management system) and Open Dock system a plus.
- Certified Forklift Operator Instructor
- Ability to effectively manage a staff of 5-7 employees.
- Should possess familiarity with warehouse equipment and have an intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
- Ability to write performance reviews, recommending performance improvement plans where necessary and ability to establish and communicate department goals, objectives, and processes with employees.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization and possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure, possessing an exceptional sense of urgency.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, troubleshoot issues, schedule, organize, coordinate, train, and prepare operating procedures with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
- Move products, supplies, and boxes up to 50 lbs.
- Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, kneeling.
