We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to supervise personnel in a manner that promotes company values and ensures the success of the company’s short and long-term objectives. Ensures shipping, receiving, storage, and Distribution are performed in an efficient manner and takes precautions to protect warehouse contents against loss. Ensures quality service is provided to each customer. The Operations Supervisor will answer to a Branch Manager and there will be a team of package Sorters to report to this position.

· Experience working directly with customers and vendors.

· A minimum of 3-5 years’ management experience in transportation, supply chain or logistics.

· Initiative to identify opportunities and issues and follow through on work activities to capitalize or resolve them.

· Ability to learn quickly and take positive action without being requested to do so.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Manage receipt of shipments and correctly store products and items that will be kept in the warehouse.
• Monitors owner operator activity and ensures completion of assigned routes. Ensures all deliveries are performed within customer expectations.
• Ensures all owner operators are operating under applicable company, federal and state rules, regulations, and operating procedures. Communicates effectively with the Compliance Department.
• Enter orders and pull products or items for pick-up.
• Complete Overage, Shortage, & Damage Reports and other reporting as required.
• Maintain inventory of warehouse.
• Monitor warehouse staffing and conduct warehouse employee evaluations.
• Maintain warehouse as a safe, clean facility.
• Sets proper example of conduct and attitude for employees under his/her supervision, towards customers and the general public.
• Process miscellaneous projects and tasks as prescribed by the Branch Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years' management experience in transportation, supply chain or logistics.
• Aggressive hunter mentality, excellent prospecting skills and strong sales ability.
• The ability to build rapport, ask questions, and listen.
• Great communication and presentation skills.
• The ability to negotiate and excellent closing skills.
• Transportation/ logistics experience is a must.
• The ability to research and learn things without oversight.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Self-motivated, energetic, charismatic, and able to think on your feet.
• High sense of urgency and results focused.
• Works through others and leads by example.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
