Job Description
Our client, a global leader in packaged good solutions, has an immediate need for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our winning team in Lakeville.
Our candidate of choice will coordinate the safe and accurate execution of our shipping & receiving warehouse operations and be the primary point of contact for the Customer Support group, plant supervisors, and transportation service providers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule, prioritize, and assign tasks to warehouse employees
- Effective management and efficient utilization of available warehouse facility space and related resources.
- Bar code scanning implementation and troubleshooting
- Establishing inventory accuracy/cycle counting programs, including metrics and reporting processes.
- Negotiating freight rates and contracts with demonstrated cost savings
- Negotiating and justifying warehouse building/lease changes
- Efficiency improvement projects to improve picking and loading costs.
- Oversight and management of warehouse management information systems
- Effective communication, cooperation, and coordination with C-P’s Customer Support and Finishing Departments in order to execute timely and cost effective shipping requirements.
- Coordinate and organize shipping and receiving documentation
- Quality Control of shipping instructions & documentation as required on a customer by customer basis
- Complete shipment processing and initiation of customer invoices.
- Freight bill auditing and authorization for payment
- Daily utilization of, and interaction with C-P transportation providers (Traffic Management)
- Finished Goods & Raw Material cycle count execution
- Customer returns processing
- Execution of warehouse tasks as needed in support of warehouse employees.
- Must comply with all general Company-wide standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and any job or department specific SOP’s.
- SOP’s may cover the areas of (but are not limited to)
- Employee Health and Safety
- SQF (Safe Quality Food packager) and GMP (good manufacturing procedures) focused on eliminating contaminates in all packaging manufactured.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- General knowledge of shipping, receiving, & warehouse operations
- General knowledge of LTL, truckload, & small package transportation providers
- Advanced knowledge of shipping, receiving, & warehouse operations, and knowledge of LTL, truckload, & small package transportation providers
- Basic computer knowledge & skills – Word, Excel, Outlook email, ERP software
- Ability to work accurately in a fast paced, changing environment
- Lift truck certification – fork lift, reach truck.
- Good communications skills for interaction with CP employees, drivers, and outside vendors.
- Must be able to work well under sometimes stressful work conditions.
