DESCRIPTION:
Come Join Spieth America to help us deliver gymnastics and other sporting goods to the sports industry. The Warehouse Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with safety standards. Supervise a team of warehouse staff, allocate tasks, and maintain inventory records. The role requires strong organizational skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a smooth workflow.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and supervise warehouse staff, including, training, employee relations and achieving operational performance.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to ensure the smooth operation of the warehouse.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, efficiency, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of goods within the warehouse. Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and prevent shrinkage or loss.
- Monitor productivity levels and implement strategies to improve efficiency.
- Enforce safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
- Develop quality control measures to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for quality and accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and management.
- Collaborate with management to develop strategies for continuous improvement.
- Ensure warehouse is maintained, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Coordinate with carriers and logistic providers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software applications for inventory management and shipping (e.g., ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager).
- Effective communication and people skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge in the gymnastics industry or with gymnastics equipment.
- 2-year forklift experience.
- Ability to maneuver a variety of objects differing in size, shape, weight.
- Comfortable with exposure to environmental conditions (e.g., heat/cold; noise and dust)
- Familiarity with hand-held power tools.
- General maintenance and repair as needed.
Schedule:
- Day shift(8am-4:30pm)
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime (as needed)
