What you will do:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for Excalibur’s Westfield Distribution Center. The incumbent will receive product, pull, assemble, repair, ship orders, respond to customer inquiries, and manage inventory. In addition, the individual will also be responsible for maintaining and supervising the distribution center activities.

The individual will be responsible for:

• Supervise and support employees working in the Distribution Center
• Provide orientation and training to new employees
• Schedule employees, assign work and manage performance, providing regular feedback
• Ensure that standard operating procedures are followed; develop standard operating procedures where they are absent and a need for them has been identified
• Support employee development, providing guidance and training where needed
• Monitor employee hours
• With support from the Production Manager and Human Resources, issue corrective counseling for employees when necessary
• Maintain efficient staffing levels in all areas: monitor demand and determine whether it is necessary to maintain, reduce or increase staffing
• Assist with the repair of returned product for all brands
• Organize the distribution center and implement recommendations for improvement on an ongoing basis
• Unload and receive product from Excalibur’s Ontario manufacturing facility, communicating any discrepancies
• Shelve, organize, and manage product inventory
• Receive, process and close orders electronically through the ERP system
• Pick orders
• Stage shipments, contact courier / shipping to arrange pickup and complete shipping paperwork
• Report inventory levels and any order shortages; manage inventory
• Manual material handling (use of pump truck / pallet jack and rolling safety ladder); packages ranging from envelopes to boxes weighing up to 44 lbs.
• Respond to phone calls from customers
• Keep equipment and work area clean and organized.
• Follow company safety rules and operating procedures.
• Responsible for supporting and adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Promote Health and Safety and enforce safety policies and procedures
• In periods of peak volume, may supervise temporary worker(s).
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required Are:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing employees in a warehouse environment.
• User-level computer experience using MS Office (Outlook, Excel), internet use and shipping software. ERP experience preferred.
• A successful background check will be required as part of the hiring process.
