Warehouse Supervisor

Provides assistance to the Area Manager and Assistant Area Manager with daily functions of Area. Helps in supervising the activities of regular associates and temporary workers within the fulfillment center. Will help in keeping Production Associates productive throughout the day or until completion of job assignments. Helps to enforce safety regulations. Helps to assess production methods and efficiency for improvements and/or changes. Must have a "can-do", "make-it-happen" attitude that is demonstrated by displaying the ability to use perseverance and initiative in order to ensure top performance, quality and service to our stores. Responsible for developing and maintaining an open, engaging environment.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Helps the Area Managers plan and regularly directs the work of hourly team in the fulfillment center to ensure timely and accurate processing and shipment to the customer, steady work flow, and even apportionment of tasks between workers.
• Responsible for developing and creating an effective team culture which recognizes individual and team performance, while maintaining associate morale in a demanding work environment.
• Assists with administrative tasks and functions for responsible area including records of employee production and workflow.
• Monitors safety of the workers and merchandise according to distribution center policies.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong written and verbal communication and organization skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to regularly stand and/or walk for extended periods throughout a large warehouse and physically inspect the facility.
• Ability to occasionally sit for extended periods of time while working at a computer terminal.
• Ability to occasionally perform all job functions of the area which may or may not include: stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, squatting, stretching, crawling, standing, lifting, moving, use of scan gun or climb stairs or ladders.
• Exceptional attendance with flexible work hours as needed.

MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

• 2 Years

DESIRED SKILLS

• Ability to work well with others
• Computer experience with various software packages.
• Inventory control experience
• Familiarity with the following technical equipment: radio frequency and bar code scanners.

The schedule for this position is Wednesday-Friday 12:30pm to 11:00pm and Saturday 9:00am to 7:30pm, 4 day work schedule
