About the role:
Askew, an AFC Industries Company is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for our Camarillo, CA. You will coordinate workflow of the warehouse and responsible departments under the direction of the Branch Manager. Monitor personnel performance, attendance, quality and quantity of work. Serves as the in-house lift truck training and certification trainer.

Required/Must have:
- 2 consecutive years of experience in the safe operation of an electric stand up order picker & reach truck
- 1-2 consecutive years of experience as a supervisor in a distribution environment
- 1-2 consecutive years of experience managing people
- Computer literacy (WMS, Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential
- Ability to verbally & virtually communicate with Directors, peers, & subordinates consistently
Minimum Experience/Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred.
- 1-3 years’ experience as a lead person, supervisor, or similar position
- Must be able to lift up to 40-50 pounds of uneven weight
- Ability to stand for 8 hours per day or longer.
- Ability to work extended hours under OT, including weekends.
- Willingness to learn the position and other duties as directed by management.
- Good communication skills, written and verbal required.
- Ability to calculate basic mathematical equations.
- Basic computer skills are required (Email, Excel, Word).
- Prioritize and delegate work for temp and perm warehouse staff required.
- Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) candidates preferred.
Working Environment
Works in a warehouse environment, walking, standing, bending, and lifting frequently. The position is fast-paced and physically demanding.
Machines used, Equipment Operated
Forklifts, pallet jacks, company vehicles, counting scales, shipping equipment and software, computers, copiers, fax machine and telephones.
Duties
- Create and maintain a positive work environment, creating a culture of safety & accountability.
- Ensure the accuracy of the inventory, overseeing physical inventories, audits & cycle counts.
- Manage temporary and AFC employees equally, applying company policy wherever needed.
- Train, delegate, and oversee day-to-day operations of warehouse staff in Receiving, Shipping, Order Processing, Inventory Control, and Shop, ensuring all are performing at optimum levels.
- Consolidate and maximize space in warehouse. Identify areas of continuous improvement.
- Manage the work schedule of warehouse personnel including overtime; only authorized after discussion and approval of Branch Manager and/or Director of Operations.
- Discuss and resolve personnel issues with Branch Manager and/or Director of Operations.
- Maintain the overall housekeeping of the warehouse on a daily basis.
- Understand and follow all company rules and regulations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or required.
Hours:
Monday-Friday, 7AM-3:30PM, with minimal opportunities for OT.
