Warehouse Specialist Mail Clerk

SUMMARY

Performs all services to accomplish a variety of warehousing duties including receiving, inventorying, stocking, and delivery of materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs manual duties, including packing, unpacking, storing, loading, unloading and issuing warehouse goods or merchandise, checks contents for damage or discrepancies against receiving documents, records date received and serial numbers(s) of new equipment received on applicable delivery documents and routs to proper delivery points of contact.
• Affixes property labels, provided by the SSB Property Management Specialist, to Government equipment.
• Enters data in the computer to update inventory and provides forms/reports as requested by the SSB Property Management Specialist or COR.
• Delivers excess items to disposal sites.
• Operates forklift/pallet truck and vehicles as required for warehouse operations and delivery of items.
• Keeps warehouse clean and stock in order.
• Systems Furniture Assembly/Disassembly Reconfiguration Services:

• Assembling/disassembling/reconfiguring system furniture
• Transporting furniture and components, as required

• Follow mail schedules and daily operations.
• Sorting Mail
• Incoming/Outgoing Mail
• Accountable Mail
• Private Carrier Parcels and Office Supplies
• Special Pick-Up/Delivery Service
• Mail Counts
• Miscellaneous Warehouse Services and other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma. Technical schooling preferred.
• Five (5) years’ military or civilian work experience associated with warehouse duties.
• Secret Clearance (US Citizenship required).
• Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to prioritize multi-tasks successfully.

JOB REQUIREMENTS *

WORK SCHEDULE

40 hours per week and occasional overtime, with prior supervisor approval, as required to maintain operations and support the mission.

TRAVEL

The expected travel time is less than 25%.

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS

Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 25%.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in a warehouse setting as well as outdoors in military training areas. Work is often performed outdoors, in adverse conditions including inclement weather such as high humidity, heat, cold, high wind, rain, and various local conditions. Employee often exposed to sharp objects and may be exposed to some heat, loud noise, chemicals, lead and vibration. Katmai strictly adheres to the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHA) regulations. Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for handling, to work with such hand tools as wrenches, screwdrivers, wire cutters, pliers, and soldering irons. Seeing up close.
