SalaryA Receiving Associate is responsible for the efficient operation of the Distribution Center. Is responsible for accurately stocking and replenishing the warehouse in accordance with Receiving specifications. The Receiver must ensure timely and correct receipt of goods, and ensure stocking locations are replenished with sellable materials by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates warehouse machinery in accordance with established procedures, obtains ordered item(s) in stock from bins or shelves.
- Regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
- Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Weighs or counts items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
- Uses a battery-powered forklift or a pallet jack to unload inbound products from common carrier trucks.
- Moves sellable materials to stocking or back-stock bins utilizing battery-powered forklift and or stock picker.
- Counts and verifies received product against the packing slip and or bill of lading.
- Utilizes computer system to locate stocking bins, inventory, or back-stock areas.
- Marks materials with identifying information.
- Tallies weigh, transports, stacks, and arranges products and packed containers
- Cleans and maintains work area to ensure compliance with safety regulations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
