This is a full-time, hourly position.
PURPOSE: To ensure all inbound materials are inspected, received, sampled and stored correctly in accordance with GMP's, storage conditions and other possible warehouse/item restrictions. Always keeping safety top priority.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect incoming carriers and inspect material during unloading (completing any documentation).
- Verify weights of material.
- Start receiving process into AS400 & work with appropriate groups on receiving issues.
- Report any damages and/or shortages.
- Pull samples of incoming raw materials to provide to QC.
- Put material away in approved locations in warehouse
- Transfer to proper location using warehouse scanners.
- Follow all ISO procedures and GMP's
- Perform other duties and assignments as required
This is a moderately supervised position
WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, degree in a related field preferred
- 3+ years experience in Shipping, Receiving, and Logistics & Transportation
- Bar-code experience
- Forklift (standup) experience
- Self-motivated commitment to continuous improvement.
Standing, lifting (up to 50 #'s), walking and reaching.
