3rd Shift: 9PM-5AM - Starting at $17.65 (Includes shift differential of $1.15)
$17.65 is a *temporary* probationary wage. This gives us 30-60 days to evaluate your capabilities and assign a specific position to you. After your probationary period, your pay will be bumped up to a "B" rate, and that comes with a pay range of:
3rd shift (9pm-5am) $18.02 - $25.71 .
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the following attributes and/or skills.
· High school education or equivalent.
· Passing score on basic skills test (shows ability to read, write, and perform basic math computations).
· Proficiency in the practical use of a tape measure.
Employees will be responsible for production of boxes and other containers that are routed to the press to which they are assigned. Record-keeping and routine cleaning/maintenance associated with the machine is required.
Under the supervision of the cell Superintendent or Lead, the employees may work with his/her crew to ensure the following are performed for every order, as applicable.
· Compares material received for conversion is consistent with master. Notifies supervision of any discrepancy or significant damage. Supervisory approval is required for exceptions.
· Makes necessary adjustments to minimize board crush.
· Checks set up box against order master specification. Makes necessary adjustments required for box compliance.
· Performs quality check procedures on every order.
· Maintains quality standards by discarding all non-conforming or defective items.
· Reports machine malfunction or damage to supervision as soon as it is recognized.
· Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset, making adjustments or suggestions to reduce set up times and improve run speeds.
· Assists operator in some machine maintenance using basic hand tools.
· Provides backup for operator/teammates when situation dictates.
· Understands and practices all safety requirements and regulations as set forth in Corporate Safety Manual.
· Practices good housekeeping habits on machine and in work area.
· Performs other duties as assigned. Job duties are subject to change as directed by management.
Contact of considerable importance will occur between crews in normal course of performing duties. Such interactions require professionalism and respect in discussing problems, presenting data, and determining solutions.
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is commonly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Accessing areas using stairs is necessary.
