Louisa Foods has created a new position to support the warehouse (receiving, shipping, and inventory functions). As the Warehouse Clerk you will be an integral part of the warehouse team and will serve as a central figure for all shipping and receiving, acting as the primary point of contact for all carriers. You will help identify areas of improvement and contribute to the operational performance of the warehouse team. You will also be responsible for upholding all safety procedures. We are looking for someone with experience working in a warehouse, specifically with shipping and receiving experience, who can assist with the evolution of this position as we implement a new ERP/WMS system. The following list of responsibilities is not exhaustive and will evolve as the new system is further implemented.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary contact for ALL carriers
- Check ALL drivers in/out
- Maintain all shipping/receiving paperwork
- Print pick tickets for orders
- Print BOL's for orders and transfers
- Create/print daily production staging location sheets
- Print necessary inventory labels as needed
- Create "Site Transfers" to offsite facilities
- Schedule all inbound/outbound loads to best utilize dock space and personnel
- Track and maintain staged customer orders
- Maintain accurate records to assist in inventory control
- Other duties as assigned by management
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
Skills & Experience
- Previous shipping/receiving clerk experience
- Previous inventory experience (preferred)
- Previous experience working with ERP/WMS software
- Experienced working within a team environment.
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- PC and clerical skills required, including Microsoft Office
- Basic math skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong, consistent attendance
