Warehouse Operator

The Warehouse operator will oversee the daily functions within the warehouse.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive and load out seed, crop protection products, and fertilizer as needed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse.
• Responsible for accurate inventory of warehouse.
• Maintain CPP mini-bulk tanks, pumps, and meters.
• Unload rail cars of dry and liquid fertilizer, load grain cars, and be able to load trucks in absence of facility lead.
• May assist with anhydrous in fall and/or help in dry plant as needed.
• Coordinate deliveries of products as needed.
• Ensure load out forms are filled out neatly, accurately, completely, and are brought to the office daily for timely billing.
• Assists in training employees to meet all state, federal and company safety and regulatory criteria.
• Responsible for answering and directing phone calls appropriately.
• Work in a safe & efficient manner according to NEXUS safety policies.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Assist other locations, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred.
• 2 years or more experience preferred.
• Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, and team center focus.
• Must have and maintain a valid CDL, hazmat endorsement, Core and Seed Treatment endorsements, forklift certification, and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to travel independently and/or overnight as needed.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understands inventory management, product knowledge and proficiency including fertilizers, ag chemicals, seed, soil needs and field monitoring.
• Ability to work extended hours and on-call as seasonality and business conditions are determined.
• Frequently required to lift and/or move 51-70 pounds as needed.
• Frequently exposed and required to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wet, etc.), as well as working at various heights or elevated platforms.
• Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on NEXUS policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Safety:

• Uses personal protective equipment.
• Observe all OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Maintain clean and orderly facilities.
• Maintain equipment and facilities regularly and timely.
• Maintain housekeeping and sanitation standards.
