OBJECTIVE
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Warehouse Manager provides hands-on leadership to the Shipping, Receiving, and QC teams. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the complete & accurate execution of all shipping and receiving, managing production associates, and monitoring all work to ensure a productive and safe high-paced environment. This role is responsible for ensuring all inbound/outbound bookings and appointments are scheduled according to vendor and customer-specific guidelines, volume requirements, and available manpower.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Post-secondary education in a related field would be an asset
- Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Laws and Regulations
- Current license for Forklift, Reach, Walkie
- Strong knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) certification is an asset
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years shipping and receiving management experience, preferably in the produce industry.
- Proficient in Word/Excel and Outlook as well as inventory management software
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize · Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively and stand on feet for the majority of the working day
- Flexibility and willingness to work outside of regular hours required, which will include evenings and weekends
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and quality control.
- Book appointments for customers based on the shipping list.
- Schedule trucks, drivers, and third-party services while making any necessary changes to loads in real-time.
- Material planning and dispatch responsibilities.
- Process Bill of Lading for each order while ensuring customer-specific procedures are always adhered to.
- Report returns and/or rejects back to the sales team.
- Monitor Shipping and Receiving lists using Famous to accurately ensure product shipments are being received properly.
- Manage/monitor inventory and perform cycle counts.
- Make product adjustments and manage product flow in the assembly and shipping area.
- Processing, verification, and approval of third-party invoices.
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Food Safety Act, and EarthFresh company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
