What We’re Looking For
Travelpro is seeking a Warehouse Manager to be responsible for daily floor operations in the Distribution Center. This position requires strong organizational and leadership skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain management. This is a self-directed individual that possesses strong practical, analytical and technical skills as well as the ability to communicate in a clear and persuasive manner. Candidate must have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and implement improvements to enhance overall operational effectiveness.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will work collaboratively with the Manager of Distribution Operations to develop and maintain procedures and policies that will ensure a safe, efficient and cohesive distribution environment while achieving all corporate initiatives and objectives.
Leadership and Supervision
- Leading a team of warehouse staff and supervisors.
- Providing guidance and support to ensure a cohesive and productive work environment.
- Conducting performance reviews and implementing training programs.
Continuous Improvement
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
- Implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborating with other departments, such as logistics, procurement, and customer service, to optimize overall supply chain performance.
Compliance
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Managing documentation and records related to warehouse operations.
Receiving
- Managing the inbound logistics process.
- Overseeing the receipt of goods and materials.
- Ensuring accurate documentation and inspection of received items.
- Coordinating with suppliers and carriers to optimize the receiving process.
Shipping
- Supervising outbound logistics operations.
- Coordinating the picking, packing, and loading of products for shipment.
- Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of goods to customers.
- Collaborating with carriers to optimize transportation efficiency.
Value-Added Services (VAS):
- Implementing and managing additional services beyond basic storage and transportation.
- Examples of VAS include labeling, packaging, kitting, assembly, customization, or quality control.
- Ensuring that VAS activities align with customer requirements and are executed efficiently.
Other Activities:
- Overseeing general warehouse activities to maintain an organized and efficient operation.
- Managing inventory control and accuracy.
- Implementing safety and security measures in the facility.
- Utilizing technology and systems for tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Handles other responsibilities as deemed necessary by management.
What You’ll Need
- College Degree or Equivalent Certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field of experience (Preferred)
- 5+ years of Manufacturing/Distribution experience
- 4 years of experience in a Senior Supervisor role
- Must be Microsoft Excel proficient.
- Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff
- Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal
- Strong Analytical and critical thinking capabilities
- Possess excellent MSOffice skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Willing to work flexible hours when necessary to support the business requirements
- Experience knowledge of WMS, TMS and operational IT technology and infrastructure
