Warehouse Lead

Position Summary:Thoroughly understands and is able to perform all shipping job functions at Climatech. This includes boxing, labeling, and prepping boxes for shipment. Arranging LTL, UPS, customer trucks, and Courier services. This includes all required documentation (shippers, BOL ERP system transactions etc.). Position will be responsible for reviewing customer portals and processing shipments in both customer and Climatech ERP systems. Attention to detail is critical to ensure shipments match customer requirements. Position will also manage team of Material Handlers who aid in staging loads for shipment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1.) Supervise team of material handlers that prepare daily shipments to customers and receive product from vendors.

2.) Provide work direction and manage projects efficiently though planning and organization.

2.) Collaborate with Inside Sales, Planning, and Production to ensure shipments are made on-time and in full.

3.) Accurately prepare all shipping documents that include shipping in ERP system and customer portals.

4.) Assist with daily cycle counting, inventory control, and year-end inventory counts. Investigate and reconcile differences.

5.) Operate Forklift and Order Picker to transport material on and off trucks and within the warehouse with use of handheld barcode scanning devices.

6.) Work as a team with Planner and Material Handlers, to achieve company goals and objectives.

7.) Keep plant and warehouse clean, organized, and in a safe condition. Suggesting improvements to shipping and receiving process to increase efficiency of warehouse practices.

8.) Enforce operating instructions and safety policies within the warehouse.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: High School diploma, 3 years’ experience in shipping and receiving preferably within a manufacturing setting. Must be a team player with strong math, organization and written and verbal communication skills capable of participating in problem solving. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Able to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment, work under pressure and time deadlines. A self-starter with an organized, results oriented approach.
