SUMMARY: The primary function of the Warehouse Lead is to assist the Warehouse Manager, and provide training & mentoring to Warehouse Associates. The position will also be responsible for receiving mattress products accurately and on time; efficiently and safely transporting, sorting, and stocking materials according to company standards. This position may be cross-trained across various warehouse departments, including but not limited to Product Service, Receiving, Truck Check-In, or Picking & Pulling based on company needs.
Salary Range - $21 - $23
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Loads and unloads materials onto and from various containers including, but not limited to, trucks, racks, pallets, and trays; utilizes appropriate tools to accomplish tasks.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures.
- Performs quality inspections on incoming and outgoing materials and products.
- Conducts physical inventory counts; replenishes stock from backup locations as needed.
- Assists the sales team with the set-up of products in the Sales Training area and relocating items back to stock after training is completed.
- Establishes and maintains professional communication with vendors.
- Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
- Participates in quality improvement efforts.
- Prepares all required reports and correspondence.
- Perform quality inspections on all equipment for damage and report information to management.
- Attendance meets department standards by Warehouse Attendance Guidelines.
- Forklift Certified.
- Ability to lift 50 to 75 pounds;
- Must be able to complete the following with no more than 2 receiving errors per month:
- Count routes and verify all products is staged for morning load out.
- Offload an average of 60-80 mattresses and box springs off trucks.
- Can record KPI Excel sheet to monitor productivity.
- Will need to be in communication with vendors & purchasing team.
- Able to restock and put away product.
- Verify aisle is maintained according to department standards.
- Run daily inventory cycle on random mattress bins or isles.
- Identify product staging & adjust as new product is received.
- Capable of pulling customer pick-up, scanning product to Cuspu, running a barcode truck bin, and verifying all products were pulled and staged.
- Fully understands how to check and process labels for products.
- Able to receive PO in the system and backorder any discrepancies.
- Able to print customer receipts for customer signature.
- Knowledgeable on all scanner functions.
- Can identify all vendor and vendor codes and has basic knowledge of products associated with each vendor code.
- Aisle maintenance for those assigned meets department standards.
- Housekeeping.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School/GED Certificate.
- 1-2 years experience in a warehouse environment as a warehouse associate or similar position.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Forklift certification is current or if a new hire, certification is completed within 30 days from the date of hire.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
- Lift and move between 50-75 pounds without assistance.
- Climb a ladder to a height of at least 20 feet.
- Walk, bend, and climb stairs.
