Position Title: Oracle HCM Software Business Analyst

Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000

Job Description:

The New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY) has an opening for an Oracle HCM Software Business Analyst in its Information Technology Department. In this position, the individual will be responsible for the functional aspects of our Oracle HCM application. Working alongside the Oracle HCM Software Engineer, the Oracle HCM Software Analyst role is focused on coordination between Human Resources and IT with respect to requirements gathering, new system functionality, system administration and vendor management. The Oracle HCM application's functions include but are not limited to: Core Human Resources operations, Benefits, Payroll, Recruitment, Talent Acquisition Management (TAM), and Enterprise Learning Management (ELM).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Analyze prioritized issues using a variety of troubleshooting and analysis to investigate production issues, propose options for resolution, document findings and ultimately document and solution the issues in production.
  • Offer solutions to improve system efficiencies and ensure compliance.
  • Serve as technical support bridge with external vendor (Oracle).
  • Serve as the oracle HCM system administrator and subject matter expert.
  • Work with HCM team and HR Specialists to create documents related to scenario and script testing, detailed analysis based on requirement documents and creation of user guides.
  • Provide customer service and production support for various HCM modules.
  • Coordinate post-production upgrades, software patches, and enhancements for the Oracle HCM suite.
  • Manage and respond to service requests, review service requests, and make any necessary corrections and work ticket to resolution.
  • Escalate issues as required and ensure a timely distribution of information within the organization to expedite resolutions.
  • Maintain support documentation as needed.
  • Extract data from Oracle systems to be used in high level reports, audits, or other reporting needs.
  • Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned.

In addition to the Minimum Qualification Requirements, all candidates must possess the following:
  • Bachelor's degree required. Information Technology preferred.

Preferred Requirements/Skills:
  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years' experience in Human Resources; and
  • Minimum one (1) to three (3) years relevant experience in Human Resources with a focus on system support or implementations.
  • Technical background in computer software and troubleshooting a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required.
  • Ability to assist users with application related questions and issues.
  • Ability to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Dependable team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with staff in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, prioritize among competing needs, and respond quickly to requests for information.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff and vendors.
  • Experience with Oracle Capital Management systems a plus.

Additional Information:
  • Current office employees: To be eligible for a transfer or promotion, staff must have already served at least 1 year in their current position and be in good standing. In addition, must meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
  • Looking for candidates that could commit to one (1) year to the hiring Unit.
  • Authorization to work in the United States is required for this position.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:
  1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
  2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
  3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to \"1\" or \"2\" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in \"1\" above.

Hours/Shift:
  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Residency Requirement:
  • City Residency is not required for this position.
