ROLE AND PURPOSE: To assist the Warehouse Coordinator in the general operation and security of the Food Service Warehouse. Work includes maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse; receiving and storing shipments; processing delivery tickets; overseeing the pulling and delivery of orders to campuses; ensuring the safe operation of vehicles.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Class B CDL driver's license issued by the State of Texas
• Valid Food Handler's Card approved by state and local authorities obtained within 14 days of hire
• Forklift certified

• Four years' experience in warehouse operations
• Two years' experience supervising others

• Demonstrates leadership skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse systems
• Demonstrated computer data entry proficiency
• Ability to compile and analyze data
• Effective communication skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of state and local food safety practices
• Must be able to operate rider pallet trucks, walk pallet trucks, and forklifts

• Trains all warehouse team members in district and department personnel standards

• Establish and maintain an environment which is conducive to positive team morale and directed towards achievement of the district's strategic plan
• Maintains a high level of integrity and service at all times
• Communicates regularly with department administrators

• Set and maintain high standards for all aspects of the food service warehouse operation and communicate this perspective to all warehouse team members
• Works to improve efficiency of delivery routes
• Works to improve efficiency and accuracy of pulled orders
• Actively seeks and implements processes to reduce costs associated with building, equipment, and truck maintenance/ repairs

• Supervises the receipt of all food, supplies, and equipment to the warehouse
• Consolidates weekly campus orders and supervises the delivery of all food, supplies, and equipment to campuses
• Maintains oversight for inventory items including proper storage, organization, rotation, expiration/use by dates, recalls, and damages
• Ensures all inventory controls and paperwork are in place to track and account for all items
• Oversees and performs duties associated with maintaining a clean and hazard free warehouse
• Monitors trucks and equipment for regular maintenance and arranges for maintenance/repairs
• Responsible for a perpetual 100% accurate on-hand inventory report and prepares the department for all inventory audits

• Complete annual continuing education requirements
• Maintains a valid Class B CDL driver's license issued by the State of Texas
• Maintains a valid Food Handler's card approved by state and local authorities
• Constantly works to improve knowledge and skills

• Provide leadership, training, and supervision for all direct report personnel
• Define job performance expectations, evaluate job performance, and maintain open and continual communication with direct report personnel
• Communicate and promote high expectation levels for staff performance in an enabling and supportive way
• Monitors warehouse labor hours and obtains approval for all overtime

• Frequent district travel
• May work prolonged and irregular hours including nights and weekends
• Supervises the on-call rotation for emergency pick up of food/supplies making sure that all food/ supplies are picked up in a timely manner according to district standards

• Ability to maneuver narrow-aisle forklifts (both riding and walking) with weights to 2500#
• Good manual dexterity
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods
• Extreme changes in temperature
• Constantly moving with other moving hazards in the area
• Must be able to exert up to 60 pounds of force occasionally, up to 35 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
