Shift: Swing Shift, Mon-Fri 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Wage: Starts at a base of $24.66/hr with additional $1.50/hr shift differential

Position Overview:  The Bob's Red Mill Warehouse Driver position is responsible for the loading and movement of freight primarily between BRM production and warehouse locations making it 50% driving and 50% order selection work. Daily tasks require extensive use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential in this position.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Safely delivers loads between Bob's Red Mill warehouses and to local customers.
• Loads products safely without damage to product or truck/vehicle.
• Maintains accurate driver's logs and vehicle inspection reports.
• Performs pre/ongoing/post-trip vehicle inspections as necessary and required.
• Safely operates forklift throughout the warehouse and in loading/unloading the truck.
• Completes orders and deliveries in an accurate and timely manner.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures and operates all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner.
• Complies with Bob's Red Mill food safety policies and procedures including adherence to FDA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Other tasks and duties as may be assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This position reports to the Department Manager.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Possesses good communication skills both written and orally.
• Ability to work well individually and as a member of a team.
• Possesses a good understanding of equipment and would be considered mechanically inclined.
• Must become forklift certified and be able to demonstrate safe forklift operation and proficiency.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Current valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) and D.O.T. required medical card.
• Must pass the pre-employment-controlled substance test.
• Must pass D.O.T. commercial vehicle road test.
• Must meet all qualification requirements of and is not disqualified under the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous forklift and/or warehouse experience preferred.

 

Physical Demands: 

• Frequently requires the ability to lift and stack products weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Position may require standing for standing for long periods of time.
• Position requires the ability to work at a fast pace in a manufacturing environment.

 

Work Environment:

• The primary work environment for this position is within the warehouse department.  There are no adverse conditions associated with this position.
