SUMMARY: This is an entry level position. The Warehouse Worker maintains the warehouse in good, clean working order and cares for inventory. They maintain sanitation standards in their area of responsibility and assist in the processing of inbound and outbound shipments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining the warehouse in good, clean working order.
- Maintaining sanitation standards in your area of responsibility and assisting in the processing of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Helping receive inventory by properly sorting and placing product in designated locations.
- Following warehouse procedures for the safe operation of equipment, safe handling of food, and maintaining awareness of your surroundings and other workers when transporting items.
- Performing regular counts to ensure accurate inventory.
- Monitoring and reporting missing, damaged, and expired stock.
- Assisting in maintaining accurate company data including all stock and warehouse items.
- Keeping the warehouse clean and organized, keeping slots free of debris, spills, plastic, and cardboard.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to solve problems quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
- Basic mechanical skills to operate machinery (no experience necessary)
- Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Physical stamina to lift heavy loads, move product frequently, and remain standing for long periods of time
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers
- Ability to multiply and divide between 1-12
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
