Warehouse Coordinator
Summary of Job
The Warehouse Coordinator will have the ability to work with all functions including scheduling, production, inventory, shipping, receiving, and purchasing in coordinating all aspects of the product throughout its lifecycle. This will include leading and developing process and procedures to properly manage and control inventory levels while maximizing the utilization of space and productivity. The Warehouse Coordinator’s greatest skill is having the ability to understand the product/customer/quality and relate this to the team, and understand and respect the critical role of other departments on the team.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Lead the development of the warehouse management system and inventory program by taking the lead on preparing processes and procedures to prepare for a warehouse management system implementation.
- Properly manage and control inventory levels within 120 days, coordinating with inventory and production teams which consists of analysis, assessment of technology, and historical product sales research
- Develop system tools to identify slow moving products by learning the current systems in place and designing better processes to identify slow moving products within a 30-day timeframe on a continuous basis to assist in inventory control.
- Conduct a review of current utilization of space and product flow.
- Research material flow and storage to implement best practices and maximize product flow to increase productivity and utilization of available warehouse space.
- Create an organizational scheme for entire warehouse to best utilize space and material flow. Assists to maintain a well-organized, FIFO (first in, first out) controlled inventory by identifying and creating designated locations for all materials.
- Develop and improve flow of materials through work cells.
- Own the cycle count program as part of inventory management by working with inventory team to determine adequacy of existing inventory cycle count program and tools. Determine and adjust as necessary ABCD qualifications for cycle count frequency. Determine and track root causes for discrepancies.
- Conduct a review of all stocking programs by working with purchasing to understand current stocking programs with vendors and develop a system to help utilize these agreements to lower our stock on hand.
- Coordinate inbound deliveries by working with procurement and production scheduling to coordinate inbound delivery appointments of raw and other materials. Balance production needs, warehouse space requirements, vendor and carrier requirements to maintain a balanced receiving schedule.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Willing to work off-shift as needed.

- Full time
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in people, process, and product management
- BS Mechanical, Process Engineering, or Quality Engineering or similar relevant degree/experience preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
- SAP Experience preferred.
