Warehouse Associate

Valplastic USA LLC is a growing wholesale distribution company manufacturing in three countries various irrigation products and well known in the Irrigation Industry with over 100 distributors in the USA and Canada.

This is a hands-on position for various aspects of shipping, receiving and customer service. This person will be responsible to work in these areas following company guidelines with minimal day to day supervision. Ability and desire to learn useful apps, company policies, rules and procedure to be successful and move up the earning potential is crucial. This position gives opportunity to learn order processing and billing app and be in contact with customers. All training will be provided to the right person to learn and increase the future potentials.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Enjoy a good mix of warehouse and office works including speaking with customers and vendors. Estimated 40% warehouse work and 60% office work.
• Shipping and receiving requiring loading and unloading using forklift.
• Taking cycle counts and help in managing inventory.
• Learning to place orders with vendors.
• Learning to use an App to enter data and print documents.
• Learning to drive forklift if not trained and and getting forklift certification if not currently certified will be necessary. Expenses for training and certification will be paid by employer.
• Maintaining Warehouse and working area clean and safe on a regular basis.

Required Skills:

• Experience of using personal computer
• Forklift driving is required.
• Loading/Unloading
• Cycle count requiring attention to count accurately
• Good communication skill
• Phone manners, team work and attention to details.

Education

• Minimum high school diploma or higher.

Desired Experience:

• Some knowledge of warehouse operations including hands-on packaging, loading/unloading will be helpful.
• Working experience as a Customer Service coordinator and maintaining supply-chain relationship.
• Ability and desire to work with numbers in a retail/wholesale environment
• Ability and desire to work in an office and warehouse as required.
• Some exposure to UPS shipping would help but not necessary.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel would be helpful during the training process.
