Job Description
The Warehouse Associate will assist the ReStore Manager, ReStore Assistant Manager and Warehouse Manager in the day to day operations of the ReStore. Keeping the warehouse operations running orderly and efficiently will be the main focus of the Warehouse Associate. Below are the specific responsibilities of the Warehouse Associate.
Primary responsibilities
· Ensures compliance with donations acceptance criteria while in receiving area.
· Communicates well with donors regarding our processes, policies, and the mission of Habitat for Humanity.
· Cleans, tests, and prices all donated items in the receiving area and ensures proper placement of these items onto the sales floor.
· Researches prices to ensure we maximize the value of each donation.
· Maintains all tools in good working order in the warehouse and keeps them organized.
· Keep warehouse and donation center free of trash, clean, organized, and safe.
· Provide leadership to volunteers assisting in organizing and prioritizing work, following pricing guidelines and ensuring safety procedures are followed.
· Ensure receipts are verified before purchased merchandise leaves the facility.
· Work with the management team to maintain the orderly display of all merchandise and overall cleanliness of the facility.
· Oversee the process of assisting customers with removal of purchased merchandise from the store.
· Ensure ReStore policies and procedures are closely followed in the intake room and the outside yard, and that policies are also followed regarding unacceptable items.
· Responsible for ensuring that all items placed on the showroom floor are in good working order; oversee minor repairs on items where appropriate.
· Assist the management team as needed
