Warehouse Associate, Full Time - $15 Per Hour

The Warehouse Associate is the key in assisting the Management team to meet that goal. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for executing warehouse and customer pick up operations. The Warehouse Associate acts as leader by keeping the Assistant and Store Manager partnered in on challenges and opportunities. They represent the Company Vision, Values and Brand in the warehouse.

Here is a summary of some of the functions you the Warehouse Associate will perform:

• Ensure that our customers receive their furniture in perfect working condition
• Unpack trailer merchandise and store merchandise
• Assist with scanning as needed
• Prep daily pick-up merchandise
• Keep warehouse organized, cleaned daily
• Assist Assistant Manager with Quality Assurance
• Pull merchandise from stock and stage it for pick
• Assist loading customer's merchandise in their vehicle
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned
• Pull furniture and assemble/build it, when necessary, for showroom display

The Ideal Candidate will have, among other skills and abilities:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be willing to submit to physical capability test
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Follow safety guidelines
• Reliable transportation
• Dependable attendance, Fixed schedule: Tuesday - Saturday (time off days are Sunday and Monday)

What your day will look like:

· Responsible for the overall presentation of the warehouse

· Assists with floor set changes including new and discontinued items

· Manages inventory to discourage overages and shortages

· Assists in fostering an energetic and positive working environment

· Listens to the customers’ needs and presents possible options

What will help you succeed:

- Perform various warehouse duties including receiving, shipping, order fulfillment, and order picking.
- Use RF scanners and AS400 system to accurately track and process inventory.
- Operate equipment such as hand truck and furniture four-wheeler platforms
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, daily.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working

-Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate RF scanners and AS400 system is a plus.
- Proficient in order picking/matching SKU to merchandise
- Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment or independently.
