Warehouse Assistant

We currently have an immediate opening for a Warehouse Assistantlocated in City of Industry, California. This is a temporary position with the opportunity for permanent employment.

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Assistant will prepare daily and weekly reports, distribute reports to management and Operations teams, track work in progress, and support Warehouse planning with daily and weekly activities. This role will proactively follow up on orders and communicate statuses to impacted departments.

Essential Functions:

• Update reports for the Warehouse team and Management.
• Communicates priorities to the team.
• Works with Operational team to follow up on pending tasks and assigns tasks when requested.
• Keeps Warehouse documents organized and up to date.
• Coordinates Warehouse needs and requests according to necessary departments.
• Assists in regulating material stock.
• Coordinates cycle counts.
• Communicates inbound and outbound shipment schedule.
• Reports and documents shipment discrepancies.
• Works with receiving and purchasing to ensure receiving is completed and turned in daily.
• Continuously motivates team to keep warehouse clean and organized.
• Communicates with planners on order processing and order statuses.
• Schedules material hand-off and captures discrepancies.
• Collaborates with quality on material inspections or non-conformities.
• Send timely emails and communicate positively and effectively.
• Promote good communication and motivation.
• Work by the FIFO system.
• Assists with DCO handling and requests support from engineering when necessary.
• Takes minutes of meeting regarding Warehouse related tasks.
• Frequently communicates statuses and updates to appropriate teams.
• Assists in implementing Warehouse procedures, policies, and documentation.
• Promotes a safe work environment by reinforcing regulatory guidelines.
• Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; makes recommendations for needed changes to improve efficiency.
• Protects operations by keeping company information confidential.

Education and Experience:

• High school education
• Experience with inventory control preferred
• 1 year of related experience required
• Strong typing and data entry skills
• Required Excel, Word, and Outlook experience
• Forklift certification preferred

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
• (Hours subject to change based on the needs of the business.)
