Homehealth and Hospice QA

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough reviews of patient care documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Input and manage patient care data in the EMR system (Data Soft Logic - DSL) and HospiceMD
• Collaborate with clinical staff to clarify any discrepancies or questions regarding patient records.
• Ensure that all patient care data complies with hospice policies, as well as state and federal regulations.
• Prepare and organize data for billing, ensuring that all necessary documentation is accurate and complete for the billing department.
• Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures for the hospice.
• Conduct regular audits of hospice care services to identify areas for improvement.
• Provide training and support to hospice staff on QA processes and EMR documentation practices.
• Generate reports and recommendations based on audit findings to improve hospice care quality.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest healthcare regulations and ensure hospice practices are in compliance.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance within a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in Data Soft Logic and HospiceMD
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and Hospice care practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of billing processes in a healthcare setting is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
