With the continued growth of Smartstage, we are seeking a new team member to join our logistics department.
Warehouse Coordination (with goal of 100% shippable components)
• Manage inventory levels and stock-takes with consideration to version control
• Manage shipping and receiving, including forklift and pallet jack operation
• Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment
• Oversee assembly/fabrication where applicable
• Product rental inbound, outbound and maintenance
• Comprehend and follow standard industry safety policies and safety training (OSHA, etc.)
• Order fulfillment – pick, pack, ships, and document recording
• Coordinator with Sales for packing slips and bills of lading
• Manage warehouse emails
• QC product inbound and outbound components and materials
• Maintain warehouse equipment and tools
• Implement and maintain barcoding and labeling
Logistics Coordination
• Organize and coordinate freight
• Manage custom orders with sales team and customers
• Coordinate with trucks on loading
• Photograph and record shipping loads
• Manage packing materials
• Multiple warehouse locations
• Develop and fine tune product packaging for safe travels
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
• Knowledge of inventory, shipping and receiving management
• Leadership skills, including the abilities to set goals, motivate and manage
• Effective use of CRM/logistics software, Microsoft Office products Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
• Strong analytical ability for continuous monitoring and improvement of processes
• Knowledge of fabrication and welding a bonus
• Physical strength and healthy stamina
Required experience:
• Familiarity with record keeping, inventory control, logistics processes and software systems
• Forklift operator license
• Strong work-ethic and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional time management and organization skills
• Effective problem-solving abilities
• On-going interest in best practices
