The Watts Water Technologies family of companies designs and manufactures valves and drains and related products that promote the comfort and safety of people and the quality, conservation and control of water used in commercial, residential, industrial, and municipal applications. The Distribution Supervisor is a salaried leadership position responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of workflow through an assigned area. You will be largely focused on receiving, picking, packing, and shipping warehousing functions within distribution environment. You will need to have working knowledge of warehouse automation solutions, achieve important process and operational cost improvements following established company procedures and foster a safe team environment.
You Will:

  • Achieve process improvement. Focus on accuracy, customer value proposition, order flow/processing schedules, inventory, and expense management.
  • Spend majority of workday on the floor developing diverse teams by providing feedback on performance, which is, specific, and accurate, focusing on strengths and development opportunities.
  • Motivate, recognize and reward personal and team accomplishments.
  • Clarify roles and responsibilities for each team member ensuring understanding and commitment to specific goals and a collaborative work approach.
  • Write and administer annual Associate performance evaluations and conduct regular career development and performance conversations.
  • Track labor productivity and measurements and improve performance verses prior year and plan goals.
  • Use understanding of the larger supply chain network to lead departmental goals.
  • Implement appropriate plans to achieve promptly.
  • Analyze information to identify new opportunities for cost reduction and progress; provide thoughtful recommendation & standard process solutions.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with the brand, partners, and team members across the logistics network.
  • Eliminate non-value-added activities and inefficiencies. Remain competent in decision-making, risk management, and cost analysis.
  • Demonstrate skills. (i.e., scheduling, expediting, planning, and coaching).
  • Promote safety leadership by protecting the welfare of our team members.
You Have:
  • Associates degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or similar discipline.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in distribution operations
  • Experience in teamwork and works within diversified teams
  • Proficiency with warehouse and distribution management software is required.
  • Experience with process improvement and driving change
  • Forecast and make well-supported recommendations
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Experience in communicating and addressing issues to senior management
  • Leadership experience in developing talent in a high volume, customer-focused environment..
  • Work with associates at varying levels of responsibility and functional expertise.
  • Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to effectively learn new systems.
  • Conflict resolution / solution-focused mindset.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. You are occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. You must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally perform job responsibilities outside the typical office setting.
