Inventory Control Supervisor (Supply Chain- Monday-Friday 1pm-10pm)   

   

Shift: Monday-Friday 1:00pm - 10:00pm

Job Summary:   

The Inventory Control Supervisor will be responsible for Implementing and controlling the flow of supplies and equipment, tracking and analyzing inventory maintenance and developing protocols for loss mitigation.   

 

Essential Duties:   

  • Implement Inventory Control systems and practices, and to optimize Inventory Control procedures.
  • Tracks receipt, transfer or packing of items by lot or serial number, pallet, location or date and notes where the stock resides in the warehouse.
  • Produce comprehensive reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
  • Evaluate your existing inventory solution and identify places for improvement and like-to-have features.
  • Responsible for physical and cycle counts, audits inventory and generates reports.
  • Warns about low stock, expiring items and overstocked items and reorders stock to maintain proper inventory.
  • Manages new inventory receipts, returns and processes for transfers
  • Establishes priorities, allocates resources, and supervises the mobilization of the inventory and warehouse team to ensure adequate coverage
  • Keep record of daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory
  • Use current resources to improve warehouse layout and storage of stock.

   

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:   

  • To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a requirement for some roles at PENA and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Qualifications:  Requirements - Required and/or Preferred   

Education:   

  • Basic/Required:  Bachelor’s/master’s degree in business, systems engineering, Supply Chain management or similar

Essential Qualifications:   

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in similar role
  • Experience working with inventory management software and forecasting strategies
  • Experience conducting tracking and data analysis
  • Product and inventory certification such as Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) credential
  • Communication Skills: Inventory manager will need to speak with managers on a regular basis to assess changes in needs, as well as reporting to ops manager with additional requirements.
  • Critical-Thinking Skills: Inventory manager will need to devise plans of action and asses those plans regularly; must be able to work independently.
  • Organizational Skills: Multiple orders, people, and many moving pieces will require organizational skills, as well as great attention to detail
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Inventory manager will need to be ready when problems arise or be ready to anticipate problems before they happen
  • Detail-oriented: The inventory manager is accountable for maintaining the appropriate stock levels for a business’s customers and employees.
  • Leadership Skills: to manage people and resolve conflicts while maintaining a positive work environment
  • Strong analytical skills: able to analyze and generate required date for reporting and business information
  • Physical skills: Be able to lift at least 50 pounds regularly. Inventory manager must be comfortable loading and unloading supplies from vehicle
