Summary
Provides visionary leadership to build and maintain a creative, innovative, and cost effective environment committed to continuous improvement in quality of service and customer satisfaction. Provides visionary leadership to build and maintain an environment which attracts and retains employees committed to continuous quality improvement, innovation, creative problem solving, and the application of lean principles to achieve cost efficiencies in services provided. Provides oversight for the assigned respective entity's Patient Care Services leaders, ensuring accountability for network standards. Participates in entity planning activities and represents the entity and LVHN in community, civic, and professional activities.
Job Duties
- Holds leaders accountable to achieve quality measures, efficiency targets, patient satisfaction targets, and patient safety standards.
- Designs Patient Care Services short- and long-term goals, objectives, plans, processes, outcomes, and budgets.
- Instills and promotes the vision, mission, and values of the network.
- Develops, supports, and continually evaluates employee retention strategies.
- Ensures standards of Patient Care for each clinical area of responsibility are developed, monitored, and improved.
- Monitors and evaluates Patient Care outcome measures which are compared to regional and national benchmarks.
- Establishes, maintains, and refines, as needed, mechanisms to ensure continuous quality improvement activities.
- Ensures adherence to regulatory requirements and patient safety standards.
- Fosters research activities to enhance Patient Care outcomes and contributes to the body of health care knowledge.
- Serves on community and civic boards/committees related to health care issues in the hospital service area.
- Publishes and presents information which will establish LVHHN as a leader in Patient Care.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree BSN and
- Master's Degree in nursing, health care related field, or business administration.
- 7 years experience of experience with Patient Care Services line management environments and
- 3 years experience of experience as a nurse administrator.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Ability to collaborate with senior entity leaders.
- Ability to motivate and inspire people to change as health care evolves and changes.
- Adeptness in building coalitions within teams, network, and the community.
- Registered Nurse
- Certification - Nursing Administration or Professional (Specialty)
- CN-NSG-ADM - Certified Nursing Administration RN
Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs.frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *Patient Care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
