Job Title: Vice President of SalesStatus: Exempt
Reports to: Chief Merchandising Officer Dept Name: Sales
Position Summary
Drive sales revenues with your assigned accounts through consistent sales development and relationship building with key buyers to maximize profitability, sales, brand presence, resulting in an increased market share. Open target new accounts as assigned. VP of Sales responsibilities include developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. Successful execution of these strategies to achieve your financial targets. This position responsibilities includes but not limited to hitting sales targets, building relationships and understanding customer trends.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
- Direct the sales force effectiveness and manages functions essential to sales productivity—includes, but not limited to, planning, reporting, quota setting, and sales training
- Manage and service accounts, account to be assigned by SVP
- Fosters close working relationship with design, sourcing, production, and operations team to ensure the sales’ organization success
- Implements and manages sales forecasting and planning
- Provide leadership to the sales organization, and counsel to the SVP in implementing sales organization objectives that reflect the Company’s goals
- Accountable for accurate and on time reporting that is essential for sales organization effectiveness
- Expected to be in Mad Engine’s headquarters every 6 to 8 weeks, also expected to attend MAGIC show in Las Vegas twice a year
- Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets with assigned accounts
- Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
- Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
- Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
- Understand category-specific landscapes and trends
- Reporting on strategic direction of accounts
- Develop strategic sell in programs
- Work cross functionally with departments to achieve customers’ needs
- Ensure customers’ orders are delivered and fulfilled
- Work with sourcing and design on customer specific product programs
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent
- Minimum 5 Years sales experience
- Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets
- Previous experience as a sales executive,
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
- Proven ability to position products against competitors
- Demonstrable experience as head of Sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
