Zinda Law Group is looking for a highly motivated and analytical VP of Marketing to join our team. We are an elite, nationwide law firm that is rapidly growing. The VP of Marketing will be responsible for all aspects of Marketing including digital marketing (especially SEO and SEM), affiliate marketing (primarily through other non-PI law firms), marketing/corporate strategy (as ZLG expands nationally), marketing analytics and technology, brand marketing, customer experience, competitive analysis, and communications. ZLG’s fast-paced growth requires a marketing executive who can pivot between strategic marketing and detailed tactics. Strong preference for the position to work out of our Austin, TX office but other locations will be considered.
Key responsibilities include:
- Digital marketing: Drive and optimize customer acquisition through the execution of Marketing tactics and demand generation campaigns (especially SEO and SEM). Success is measured by meeting targets for lead generation and conversion, and achieving efficiencies on customer acquisition costs.
- Affiliate marketing: Continue to develop the affiliate marketing channel, especially through other non-PI law firms. Develop content (such as The Effective Lawyer podcast) and campaigns to attract and support affiliates.
- Marketing/corporate strategy: Be a key contributor to overall company strategy and market engagement as ZLG expands geographically as well as through new areas of specialization.
- Analytics and marketing technology: Own the marketing tech stack and the socialization of detailed analytical insights. Continually provide reporting, insights, and recommendations associated with trends. Ensure marketing technology meets the agile nature of the business and extends automation capabilities.
- Brand marketing: Oversee all elements of the brand and content across paid, owned, and earned channels. Work across internal and external partners to drive ZLG’s brand awareness and create the most innovative and trustworthy brand possible.
- Customer experience: Create compelling customer journeys and web experiences that transform prospects to clients and eventually advocates. Manage digital platforms and rigorously test to continually improve conversion.
- Competitive analysis: Become the subject matter expert for ZLG on the competitive landscape and overall competitive analysis to support ZLG’s aggressive market expansion.
- Communications: Ensure consistent communication of company image and ethos to all constituencies, both internal and external. Manage all resources necessary to promote ZLG to build awareness, third-party validation, and thought leadership in the PI market.
Ideal Experience Profile:
- Experience working at a personal injury law firm required.
- Successful experience as CMO, VP Marketing, or key marketing leader in a rapidly-growing company in the $25M - $100M range.
- Strong B2C, DTC, and B2B2C experience.
- Experience capturing market share as an innovator/disruptor in a competitive market.
- Proven success optimizing customer acquisition through SEO and SEM.
- Experience managing million dollar plus budgets;
- Experience developing and supporting an affiliate channel.
- Demonstrated track record of hiring and developing the best and brightest marketers, both managers and individual contributors.
- Proven track record of driving down the cost of customer acquisition, routinely performing retrospectives and automating systems to continually learn and improve key conversion results.
- Experience establishing credibility at the executive leadership level.
- Direct participation in corporate strategy, especially as it relates to growth.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $150,000 - $400,000+ OTE (depending on experience level);
- Signing bonus of up to $25,000;
