Position Description:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for optimizing the digital, inbound, outbound, and content marketing strategies and helping develop, implement and oversee long-term marketing campaigns as well as short-term advertising techniques for our Consumer Products group. This role requires being adept at enhancing brand awareness, generating leads, and increasing sales by driving traffic to VP’s website, retail partner sites, and in-store traffic. You will run the day-to-day management of projects and ensure that they are completed successfully and measure the effectiveness of the campaigns.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies for existing and new product lines and for brand licensing activities and have proven success in transforming those objectives into concrete marketing plans to ensure objectives are met.
  • Plan and optimize advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail. Must have the ability to be creative and on cutting edge in developing new alternative methods of advertising and promotion.
  • Have strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
  • Measures and reports performance of all marketing campaigns and assesses against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Plan, execute, and measure through rigorous testing
  • Identify critical conversion points and drop off points and optimize customer funnels
  • Develop strategies that drive customers to VP and retailer sites.
  • Work with SEM Specialist to create relevant paid campaigns
  • Maintain consistent brand messaging throughout all platforms
  • Identify and leverage the marketing assets available through racing industry
  • Work with creative team to generate brochures, flyers, and other promotional materials to assist sales team
  • Oversee and evaluate industry and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
  • Actively participate in and understand sales origination and the sales process
  • Guide preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to executive management.
  • Provide support to ensure each product is properly represented at trade shows through booth design, PR, artwork, strategy and staffing.
  • Assist other departments within the organization to prepare promotional materials, manuals and technical publications.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
Requirements:

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience with consumer packaged goods (CPG).
  • Experience with line reviews and retail sales support.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with all levels of management and a variety of sponsors, vendors, and customers
  • Demonstrated understanding of sales and marketing techniques.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-management, internal and external sponsors, vendors, and customers.
  • Audience segmentation and targeting
  • Work with creative team to set up and manage triggered email nurture campaigns using automation platforms
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills
  • Highly creative with demonstrable experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate
  • Understanding of email marketing best practices
  • Understanding of Google Search Network, related paid media channels
  • Understanding of Amazon advertising a plus
  • Understanding of SEM a plus
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher required with a minimum of five (5) years of managerial experience

Physical Demands:


  • Required to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand up to 8-10 hours per day
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility.
  • Must be able to drive activation van & trailers

Work Environment:

  • Location of position: Corporate Headquarters/ Plant / Remote
  • May work in Field / Race Environment
  • Travel is required at times
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required
  • Background checks and drug tests required
  • Work will generally be performed in an office environment.
  • May be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, and oils.
  • May be required to work hours other than the regular schedule.
