Job Description
Working under the direct supervision of the COO, as well as other PharmD on Demand Administrators when needed, fulfills all legal and regulatory requirements for a Pharmacist in Georgia and other states as required. Ability to represent PharmD on Demand and the hospitals we serve in a positive and professional manner; ability to maintain employee, employer, customer and patient confidentiality at all times; ability to comply with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices; ability to exercise judgment; ability to interact with all types of people; ability to maintain professionalism in all situations; ability to use time effectively and prioritize tasks. Communicates the mission, ethics and goals of the company; completes tasks in a timely and efficient manner; resolves concerns at the departmental level, utilizing the grievance process as required; manage and update office and project files; manage and process phone calls and emails; manage and plan schedule (meetings, travel, etc); generate reports. Utilizes pharmaceutical equipment to include automated dispensing machines, Laminar Flow Hoods and compounding equipment.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced pharmacist/leader who is proficient in MS Office, G-Suite Applications; be proficient in clinical as well as operational hospital and retail pharmacy practices; Represent themselves and PharmD on Demand professionally in both written and verbal communication; be an independent worker and learner; self-motivated and self-starting with work processes. Be punctual with self and with work deadlines. The position will be fast-paced and have a wide scope of daily duties. Must have excellent people and leadership skills and lead a team efficiently, fairly, and compassionately.
Additional job requirements include but are not limited to:
- Clerical duties when necessary
- Handles administrative requests and queries from PharmD on Demand Administration as well as Hospital Administration
- Handles information requests and needs from PharmD on Demand and hospital staff
- Liaise with administrators both within and outside PharmD on Demand
- Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients
- Works with hospital and PharmD on Demand administration on planning, organizing and maintaining pharmacy operations and ensuring compliance with al local, state and federal regulations
- Trains and Staffs as a Pharmacist when needed, following all aspects of Pharmacist Job Description during these times
- Makes site visits to facilities
- Support Client Development
- Participates in Vendor Events, Job Fairs, Meetings and Conferences as needed
- Reports status updates from site visits and interactions with clients as well as Identifies areas of concern and reports immediately
- Assists with calendar and scheduling for VP of Pharmacy Management as well as management staff and hospitals/clinics
- Identify processes for improvements
- Assist with hospital inventories
- Assist with special projects at hospitals
- Serves is PIC and/or Director of Pharmacy on an interim basis when needed
- Collect, process and analyze all types of data (financial, clinical)
- Regular travel up to 5 hours each way with occasional overnight travel
- Regularly communicate via phone and email with hospital staff, administrators, potential clients, vendors, and employees of PharmD on Demand
- Defines problems, collects data, establishes facts and draws valid conclusions
- Works with COO and other administrative staff in analyzing the organization’s competitive position by considering strengths and weaknesses as compared to competitors
