Position: Vice President of Cybersecurity

Reports to: Chief Information Officer

Overview: As the Vice President of Cybersecurity, you will hold a critical and influential role within our organization, directly shaping and leading the execution of our comprehensive cybersecurity strategy. This position reports to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and serves as the primary technical security authority. You will have a significant impact on ensuring the safety and integrity of our digital assets, driving initiatives that align with our business goals. Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement a dynamic cybersecurity strategy and architecture, enhancing the security posture across our enterprise systems.
2. Develop and execute a forward-looking cybersecurity roadmap, integrating efforts across the organization to advance our security maturity.
3. Lead the assessment and management of Cybersecurity risks and incidents, deploying proactive measures to neutralize threats.
4. Offer strategic insights on technology investments and security solutions to protect our critical assets.
5. Oversee major system developments to ensure compliance with IT security standards and best practices.
6. Provide risk assessments and security briefings to management, advising on critical security matters.
7. Collaborate with business leaders to integrate security measures into operational practices, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
8. Spearhead a cybersecurity task force to guide future R&D and pilot new security technologies.
9. Develop engaging content to promote cybersecurity awareness and adoption among colleagues.
10. Build and lead a skilled cybersecurity team, nurturing talent and career growth.
11. Cultivate a security-first mindset across the organization.
12. Consult with IT and business leaders on information security risks and mitigation strategies.
13. Establish processes for auditing and rectifying non-compliance with security standards.
14. Advocate for new technologies and security products that meet enterprise and client security needs.
15. Manage programs for threat intelligence, penetration testing, vulnerability management, event incident response, and insider threat management.
16. Conduct ongoing risk analyses to identify key operations and systems crucial for business continuity.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in Cybersecurity, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles.
• Extensive technical knowledge in cybersecurity, network security, encryption, authentication, and threat detection/prevention.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies aligned with business goals.
• Experience in managing security incidents and investigations.
• Expertise in cybersecurity standards (e.g., ISO27K, SOC1/2, SSAE 18, NIST CSF, PCI DSS).
• Proficiency in systems including Windows, Unix, Linux, Virtualization technologies, and Cloud services (Microsoft Azure knowledge is a plus).
• Exceptional business acumen and ability to integrate cybersecurity objectives with organizational goals.
• Experience with risk management frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, CRISC, RIMS).
• Strategic thinking with excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to articulate complex issues clearly.
• Strong influencing and team-building abilities.
• CISSP, CISA, or related certifications are preferred.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
