Position Overview:
As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. Your role involves analyzing potential security vulnerabilities, developing strategies to mitigate risks, and responding to security incidents. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security protocols are integrated into all aspects of the organization's technology infrastructure.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Security Implementation: Design and deploy security solutions, such as firewalls, mail security systems, encryption technologies, and access control mechanisms, to safeguard against cyber threats.
- Incident Response: Develop and execute incident response plans to respond to security incidents, contain threats, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Security Monitoring: Monitor network traffic and system logs for signs of unauthorized access or suspicious activities and respond promptly to security alerts.
- Security Research: Stay abreast of the latest security threats, trends, and technologies through ongoing research and professional development activities.
- The role requires occasional after-hours, on-call duties.
Qualifications:
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., SEC+, GSEC, SSCP) are preferred.
- Proven experience in cyber security roles, with a strong understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies.
- Proficiency in security assessment tools, network monitoring tools, and security incident response procedures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
